IMMUNOLOGICAL METHODS IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF METASTATIC LUNG LESIONS

Increase of efficiency of diagnostics of disseminated pulmonary tuberculosis. We researched 43 patients with difficulties of verification of the diagnosis. We studied the production of tumour necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) by peripheral mononuclear blood cells (spontaneous and in response to M. bovis /BCG/) and level of antibodies against M. tuberculosis in serum. It was found increase of production TNF-α, in vitro in response to M. bovis (BCG) and increase of antibodies level against M. tuberculosis from patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in comparison with patients with sarcoidosis and others disseminated pulmonary diseases. This can serve as addi-tional criteria confirming a tubercular etiology of pathological process.
